Sweet Earth launches two new frozen meals

ARLINGTON, Virginia. – Sweet Earth Foods, a vegan food maker based in Moss Landing, Calif., launched two frozen entree bowls, Korean BBQ-Style Chik’n and Cacio e Pepe.

Sweet Earth said both bowls are Project Verified non-GMO and vegan.

Korean BBQ Chik’n Style Appetizer Bowl features edamame, carrots, snow peas and sesame seeds on a cauliflower and brown rice mixture. It was inspired by trending Korean flavors, combining sweet and spicy notes, the company said.

The Cacio e Pepe appetizer bowl is inspired by a pasta dish that originated in Rome. It’s gluten-free and includes chickpea pasta and vegetables with a black pepper sauce made with cashews and vegan Parmesan-style cheese.

“At Sweet Earth, we are always looking to provide plant-based versions of the unique flavors and dishes that consumers love,” said Jennifer Barnes, vice president and general manager of Sweet Earth Foods. “As schedules resume, we want to make sure we offer delicious, carefully prepared vegetarian options that people can count on to satisfy their taste buds and fuel their busy lifestyles.”

Both starter bowls are available at select Target stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $4.99. The Korean BBQ-style Chik’n Appetizer Bowl will also be available at select Meijer, HEB and Giant Food stores nationwide starting in June. Sweet Earth said more availability will come in the coming weeks.
